All the required documents, photos, passport copies etc. are collected for the preparation of all legal documents required during the trek (unless already provided to Himalayan Rock before your arrival in Nepal). Swyambunath Stupa:

Embarking on the third day of your journey, you step into a realm of cultural wonders through a curated sightseeing experience aboard a private bus/coach. Today's voyage promises to reveal the soul-stirring essence of Kathmandu's iconic landmarks.
Pashupatinath:
The reverent odyssey commences at the revered Pashupatinath Temple, nestled in the tranquil enclave of Deopatan, a charming town located a mere 3 kilometers northwest of Kathmandu. This Hindu temple stands as a tribute to Lord Shiva in his manifestation as Pashupati – the benevolent "Lord of Animals." Drawing pilgrims from near and far, the temple's allure extends well beyond the confines of the Kathmandu Valley.

Boudhanath Stupa

With the dawn's first light, you embark on a picturesque journey from Kathmandu to the enchanting city of Pokhara, nestled at an elevation of 820 meters. As the sun casts its gentle glow, you set forth on a drive that spans approximately 6 hours, tracing the path from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Along this winding route, the landscape transforms before your eyes, revealing a tapestry of terraced fields, quaint villages, and awe-inspiring vistas.
Note: You have the option to consider flying to Pokhara, which comes with an additional cost.

As a new day dawns, your journey takes you from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga, with a charming pause in Birethanti. The day commences with a tranquil 1 ½ hours' drive to reach Birethanti, where your trek begins. From this picturesque point, your path unfolds, offering an approximately 3-hour leisurely hike to reach the inviting destination of Tikhedhunga.
Embracing the rhythm of the trail, you'll find this initial leg of your trek to be a gradual and unhurried introduction to the adventure ahead. The journey not only paves the way for breathtaking landscapes but also offers a chance to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings.
As the sun graces the sky, your journey continues with another day of gentle hiking, leading you from Tikhedhunga to the welcoming village of Ulleri. The path ahead promises approximately 3 hours of unhurried trekking, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding beauty.
With each step, you'll discover the tranquility of the trail and witness the landscapes transforming before your eyes. As day turns into evening, find solace and rest in the comfort of a Teahouse nestled in Ulleri, ready to rejuvenate you for the adventures that lie ahead.
A new day unfolds with the promise of an extraordinary journey, leading you from Ulleri to the captivating heights of Ghorepani. The highlight of this day is the captivating trek to Poonhill, an experience that promises to etch unforgettable memories in your heart.
Setting out as the first light kisses the horizon, you bid adieu to the cozy embrace of Ulleri. Your path winds its way uphill towards Ghorepani, perched at an elevation of 2750 meters. What distinguishes Ghorepani are its distinct blue-roofed houses, setting it apart from the surrounding towns.
For those embarking on this adventure in the months of March and April, an added treat awaits. The mountainscape is transformed into a canvas of vivid red as wild rhododendrons burst forth in a riot of color, painting the valleys with their vibrant hues. This natural spectacle adds an extra layer of beauty to an already mesmerizing landscape.
As the sun gently lifts the curtain of night, Day 08 beckons you to embark on an unforgettable journey from the heights of Ghorepani to the serenity of Tadapani. This day encapsulates moments of both captivating sunrise magic and tranquil mountain descent.
With a brisk walk of approximately 45 minutes, you make your way to Poonhill, a vantage point standing at 3170 meters. The ascent before dawn adds a sense of anticipation to the experience. As the first rays of the sun grace the horizon, the world transforms into a symphony of orange hues, with the mountains and the sky harmonizing in a mesmerizing display. This spectacle, a reward for your 5-day trek, captures the essence of the Himalayan landscape.
Having soaked in the sunrise's beauty for around 45 minutes, you begin your descent back to Ghorepani. After a hearty breakfast, the time comes to bid farewell to this charming haven. Shouldering your packs, you venture downhill towards Tadapani (2600 meters). The descent grants you a different perspective, making the journey relatively easier and faster.
The route from Ghorepani to Tadapani unveils a tapestry of captivating sights. Along the way, you'll encounter small cascades glistening in the sunlight, while the melodious calls of diverse bird species serenade your senses. The landscape is adorned with orange orchards, their fruit offering a burst of sweetness as you indulge in the local flavors.
Covering the distance over nearly 4 hours, you'll find yourself in Tadapani, where the charm of a tea house awaits to envelop you in its embrace. This picturesque abode amidst the mountains offers the perfect setting for a peaceful night's rest, cradling you in comfort after a day of remarkable experiences.
Day 09 ushers in a venture from Tadapani to the captivating village of Ghandruk, a resplendent haven ensconced at an elevation of 1700 meters. This leg of your expedition promises not just scenic beauty but a profound connection with the vibrant local culture.
Setting forth from Tadapani, your path leads you towards Ghandruk (2010 meters), a picturesque Gurung village nestled northwest of Pokhara. The journey unfolds as a downhill trek, treating you to captivating vistas at every turn. The Machhapuchhre and Annapurna I mountains grace the horizon, casting a spellbinding backdrop for your hike.
Amidst this enchanting scenery, mustard fields and orange orchards add a touch of vibrancy to the landscape. The allure of freshly plucked oranges is irresistible, and you'll have the opportunity to savor their deliciousness firsthand, indulging in their natural sweetness.
The distance to Ghandruk spans 6 kilometers from Tadapani, a journey that you'll gracefully cover in 3 hours. As Ghandruk's panorama unfolds before you, you'll find yourself immersed in a visual symphony of mountains and valleys.
Upon arriving in Ghandruk, the village beckons you to immerse yourself in its embrace. A leisurely stroll through its enchanting streets grants you insight into the lives of the locals. Encounter indigenous groups like Dhiki, Jato, and Theki, each with their own unique significance in the community's fabric. The village offers a vivid tapestry of cultures and traditions, a testament to the rich heritage of the Gurungs.
As the evening descends, you'll find yourself amidst the warmth of the village's embrace. Engage in meaningful interactions with the locals, sharing stories and moments that bridge cultures. With a heart enriched by these experiences, you'll rest your head in the comfort of a Ghandruk tea house, carrying with you the essence of this vibrant community and the memories forged on this day.
Day 10 marks the final chapter of our trek, a bittersweet culmination of the journey you've embarked upon. As the sun graces Ghandruk with its gentle rays, the morning views unfold in all their splendor, bidding you a picturesque farewell.
After relishing a hearty breakfast, you'll have the chance to explore the local markets. This opportunity allows you to collect souvenirs, tangible memories of your Poonhill trek. Each trinket becomes a testament to the experiences you've embraced and the landscapes you've traversed.
The path leads onwards as you continue your trekking odyssey to Nayapool. Along this route, rolling hills and meadows embrace the road, crafting a scenery that's nothing short of captivating. Every step taken in this enchanting landscape adds a touch of magic to your homeward journey.
The time eventually comes to bid adieu to the trails and begin your return to Pokhara. The scenic route carves its way back, granting you vistas that mirror the beauty of your inward journey. The drive, lasting nearly 1.5 hours, offers ample opportunity to reflect on the moments woven into the fabric of your expedition.
As you traverse the distance between Ghandruk and Pokhara, the sense of accomplishment and the memories you've collected serve as your companions. The journey's end is near, but the echoes of the mountains, valleys, and cultural encounters will resonate within you, forever enriching your spirit.
Early wake up (around 5:30am) to go to Sarangkot, a short drive up to the hill. The earlier you arrived the better the spot you will get! The energy that is created surrounded by the mountains combined with the wait for the first sunlight that crosses the natural Rockwall is worth every minute without sleep. Have some tea and enjoy the scenery.
We return to the lakeside for breakfast and be ready for another day of excitement. For the more adventurous there are more activities like paragliding, horseback riding, kayaking and rafting.
Visit the Santi Stupa, a massive Buddhist stupa which is situated on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake in Pokhara. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the scene is a great vantage point which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range, holy Mount Macchapuchare (Fishtail Mountain) and Pokhara city.
You may also like to visit Bindebasini Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara, which was a part of the Kaski Kingdom. The the main deity of the temple is the Goddess Durga. Sightseeing continues on to Devi's fall, also known as PataleChango, which is an awesome waterfall lying 2 km southwest of Pokhara. Just opposite of Devi's fall, on the other side of the road, there is Gupteshwor Cave.
On this day, Pokhlara offers you the gift of leisure. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the city's charm at your own pace. The day unfurls before you, a canvas of possibilities waiting to be painted with your interests and desires.
Whether you wish to wander and explore the city's nooks and crannies, savoring its unique essence, or dive headfirst into adventure, the choice is yours. For the thrill-seekers, Pokhara presents an array of heart-pounding activities to choose from. Take to the skies with paragliding, experience the rush of bungee jumping, soar like a bird on a zip flyer, or embrace the scenic beauty on a cycling escapade.
With no fixed agenda, this day invites you to craft your own adventure. It's an opportunity to savor the city's offerings, bask in its atmosphere, and make memories that resonate with your spirit. Whether you find yourself in moments of tranquility or excitement, Day 12 in Pokhara promises to be a chapter of your journey where you're the author of your own story.
The road trip to Chitwan takes about 4 hours.
Chitwan National Park is a main attraction in Nepal. This National Park is regarded as the best and the most developed in Nepal. The Elephant Breeding Centre, sunset at the Rapti River and the Crocodile Farm are must see locations in the park.
You will journey into the deep forest on elephant back and be able to witness the preserved natural assets of Nepalese wildlife, flora and fauna. One of the world's most endangered species, Bengal Tigers are found in Nepal, and many of them in Chitwan National Park. If it's your day, you might see them too. The other major animal you will see is the one-horned rhino. The park is also famous for bird watching and boat tours.
After arriving in Chitwan’s central area you will transfer to the jungle resort, where the adventure starts! You will be greeted by friendly staff at the resort with a cold drink during your check-in. Freshen up and join us for lunch in our restaurant.
In the afternoon you can enjoy a walk in the villages and see the singular bamboo and mud house construction along with the buffalo’s presence as an important member of the farming community. Chitwan is also a place to learn about ethnic Nepali people called Tharu.
Embark on a menu of activities included in our Chitwan program like: elephant ride, canoe tour, jungle walk, village walk and bird watching. Feel free to join as many as you can.
On a tranquil boat ride you may be lucky to catch some rhinos taking a morning bath, take delight in bird watching where our expert guide will explain about them. A jungle walk of about 45 minutes where you will meet villagers with their local activities e.g. arts and crafts.
In the afternoon relax at your resort and in the evening continue to enjoy more of the Tharu experience on the Tharu Cultural Program where dances and songs are performed by the local villagers, accompanied by a tasty typical Nepali dinner.
